Time
For Update
(November 11, 2003)
Once the demo has been completed, the album will be
copied for sale through the Metal Head duplication factory. Before that
can be done though, a singer needs to be recruited, which is where the
band is right now.

Head Radio
(September 15, 2003)
Three of the early demos of the upcoming Forsaken Truths
album are now in rotation on Metal Head Radio. To access the internet
radio site, just click the link at the bottom of every page.
The final vocal tracks were recorded and cleaned
today, leaving only bass left to record. Once bass is recorded for songs 8 -
10, those song can be mixed, and then the mastering can be done for the
album.
ForsakenTruths.com is officially launched today. Feel
free to use the contact section to email the band or the forum section to
post anything you want. More content will be added to the site once the
album is finished. Check back often for more updates.
Although one more overdub may
be added, for all intensive purposes, the guitars are finished with
recording. All of the drum tracks and guitar tracks have been
cleaned as well. While no bass was recorded this weekend, the vocals
for the first song was done. These vocals are intermediary until we
find a full time singer. The reason we are using intermediary vocals
is to help increase our chances of air time and venues that we can
play at.
The majority of the vocal tracks
may be recorded and cleaned by the end of the week. More updates as
they come available.
The drums are finally done, and
this time we mean it (you can only fit so much on one CD). There has
actually been one more song made since the last update, so that is
now 10 songs that will be on the album, all of which the drums have
been record for. Since there will now be an hour of music, there is
a good chance that the drum solo will be removed form the disc. If
that is the case, expect to find some exerts of the solo on
drumdrumdrum.net .
Now that the drums are done, the
last of the drum tracks will have to be cleaned, which will be done
by the end of Friday. Guitar's only have to record for this one last
song and get cleaned for this song, and songs 8 and 9. That should
be taken care of by the end of Sunday.
Then it is on to bass which needs
to be recorded for three songs and then cleaned. And of course, we
still need a singer, but if a full time member can not be found, some
substitution will be made. Expect to see another update on Sunday
or Monday.
The decision has been made to
continue working on the demo until it is a full length album.
Most of the writing has already been finished for it, with the near
completion of the last two songs. The only parts left to write are
lyrics and guitar solos. Drums should begin recording for this in
about a week. The other parts will record after the drums finish.
The group is still working on
getting a session vocalist to record on the demo. And of course, we
are really looking forward to the possibility of playing shows before
the summer comes to an end.
Well, it has been one month since
the last update on the demo, so here is where it stands. All of the
drum, rhythm guitar, solo guitar, and bass guitar tracks have been
recorded. Effects have been selected for the tracks, a rough mix has
been created, and all of the recorded tracks have been edited and
cleaned up.
As of right now, the band is looking
at getting a session vocalist to sing on the demo, and maybe play
a few shows down the line. Once the vocals are recorded, they can
be edited, cleaned, and then the final mix can be created.
The band has also been working
on creating another two songs. The first of which has been in the
works for a few weeks now and breaks 10 minutes. The second was just
started yesterday and looks like it will be under or around 5 minutes.
In addition to that, Sean has also recorded a new drum solo. It basically
combines his old drum solo with lots of new stuff at the beginning.
The solo is about 9 minutes long.
The demo for the Forsaken Truths
album has entered the recording stages. The drums began recording
on Monday and should finish by Friday/Saturday. After that, a few
weeks will be spent on recording the other instruments, and roughly
two weeks for the mix down.
The demo will feature all of the
so far seven songs written by Forsaken Truths. It is expected that
the total run time of the demo will be somewhere around 35 minutes.
More info as it comes.
Forsaken Truths shows at Fox went
fairly well. The group did a very good performance for the first show,
despite the fact that it was a very small crowd. Kudos to Bob Miller and
his dad for providing transportation and video taping. Without them, there
would have been no show.
Forsaken Truths has an upcoming show. The concert will be on
Friday April 25, in Lowell MA, at the Fox MPR (UMass Dorm, Residential
North). The show starts at 7:00, and Forsaken Truths will be the first of
four bands.
Sean has joined forces with Kevin
Carr (Norseth, Unhallowed Visions) to form a new band called Forsaken
Truths. As of right now, the tentative bass played is Jen Grimes
(Unhallowed Visions). The group is currently looking for a lead vocalist
for their progressive metal/melodic band. If anyone is interested and
would like to receive more information, please email Sean through the
contact page.
